This year was the first year for the new weighted lottery. Its already taken place but there are going to be smaller lotteries happening for cancelled trips, so sign up. Next years lottery is supposed to take place in May, 2007 for 2008 trips.
It is much easier to get a permit in the winter than at other times for the obvious reason that it is cold in the winter. My launch is Dec 31, 2007 so you know I will be bringing all the warm clothes I have.
